Tattooing is an ancient form of magic and alchemy that I believe has existed since humans were given the knowledge of fire. It transmutes pain, grief, joy, love, devotion, experience, and wisdom into art, healing, and authenticity. It allows us to sit in our bodies and sink into the pain. We are able to process and release emotions and experiences in this space, leaving us adorned with art and forever changed by the experience.
My interest and curiosity in tattooing is nurtured by anthropology, folklore, and the stories I read as a child. I was drawn to the world of tattooing by the kind, expressive, and authentic tattooed people I encountered in education and in alternative and queer spaces.
The art I create is influenced by nature, folklore, fantasy, and all things whimsical. With a background in printmaking and traditional crafts, I admire pieces that are created to be seen, worn, loved, and spark joy. Art that lasts, holds us, and guides us through life.
Guided by Awen, I love tattooing intentional and meaningful pieces adding ceremony and ritual to the experience often using tarot readings, meditation, and a combination of hand poked and machine tattooing.
I aim to create and hold space that is welcoming to people of all backgrounds.
